History
In 1998 "Land Rover Owner Austria" was founded to honour the
50th anniversary of Land Rover and to enrich the scene with an additional
club for Land Rovers in eastern Austria. Every driver of a Land Rover vehicle is highly
welcome, equal if driving a Series, Range, Defender or Freelander as all of these cars
incorporate the special spirit of a Land Rover.
Why Land Rover?
The founders, Hugo-Michael Waldl and Arno Herold, drive Land Rovers since years. For both
a Land Rover is the incorporation of freedom and adventure in combination with a
legendary heritage. A Land Rover is unbeatable off road but also on road easy to drive. It
not only represent the rugged live of the past but also the luxury of the present.
What is the club doing?
The LRO Austria understand itself as a platform for friends of Land
Rovers. At the
meetings information and experiances can be shared with other members. The club is also
organizing events and trainings several times a year in Austria and Hungary. The
technical experienced members give their support wherever needed. The club also offers support
when buying a Land Rover and at selected dealers members get a special discount when
buying a vehicle or accessories.
